I have added yet another venture to my already busy life. I started my own little consignment store on Facebook to help clean out the boxes full of children's clothes accumulating in our house. I realize this isn't exactly up there with Oprah starting her own television network but it's kind of been a fun project for me so far. Admittedly, it's been rather time consuming to start it off but now things are going a bit more smoothly.
It all started when I was invited to join a couple other similar stores and I thought it was a great idea ...which it is. I don't have time to organize or supervise a garage sale and this is something I can do on my own time. After I decided to start my own little store, I had to think of a name...thanks to Amanda P for helping me brainstorm and for assuring me that Darling Dudz was an acceptable name! I also came up with Trendy Threads and Adorable Duds but they didn't make the cut for a few reasons. It's hard to find a name that is actually unique or different these days. It seems like everything is already taken.
So I picked a name and went ahead and designed a simple logo. I have to say that I am quite proud of how it turned out! Since then, I've been trying to find the time to post photos and add them to the site. It's taking a while since I have been washing, sorting, and taking lots of photos. It's getting a bit easier now that I've done quite a few pieces. I have even created some virtual clothes piles as separate photo albums since this is all a work in progress.
If you or anyone you know might be interested in checking out my new little online shop, feel free to add Darling Dudz on Facebook. I will be posting boys' clothes from 0-24 months and girls' clothes from 0-12 months. I also have an excess of items that I have bought online that I should probably consider downsizing. I will likely start posting some other baby items in the future but I'm going to stick with clothes for now! Clothing can be either picked up locally or we can make shipping arrangements with the buyer covering shipping costs. I will use the Canada Post online shipping calculator to help me out with this. Since I am still adding items, I can set aside things you'd like for now and ship them together once I've posted everything.
If this all goes well and I am not finding it too stressful, I may expand this virtual garage sale to a multiple family one with more sizes so that's a future possibility to keep in mind.
That's about it for now! Hope to see you at Darling Dudz. :-)
