By JLC Handmade Jewelry Review & Giveaway (April 10th)

As much as I love baby things (and I really do love them), it's always nice to have something for Mommy too!  This giveaway is for the Moms out there and it's just in time for Mother's Day.  That is, it's the perfect time to hint to your significant other that you'd like some beautiful, customized jewelery that holds meaning for you as a mother.  I was lucky enough to receive a personalized necklace from By JLC Handmade Jewelery and I really love it.  It's the perfect time for me too since I will be going back to work soon and love having a reminder of my two little ones with me all the time.  In fact, I am taking them both to daycare as a trial tomorrow for the first time...makes me so sad!

The necklace that Lyne of By JLC made for me has a lot of special significance.  It has two small plates with the first letter of each of my childrens' names along with their birthstones and a little horseshoe for good luck.  For the technical specifics of the necklace, you can view the actual product listing here on their website.  I haven't worn it a lot yet because I was afraid I would lose it on our trip to Florida which would not be good!  So far, my very observant mother noticed it and complimented me on it.  It's a bit shorter than necklaces I am used to wearing but I have decided I like the shorter length and I know she could make it a bit longer if you request it.

I am certainly not a jewelery expert but I plan on wearing this necklace a lot and I love the special meaning it has for me and I also appreciate that Lyne made it specially for me!  It's very pretty and I look forward to telling anyone that asks about its significance.

As I mentioned at the start of this post, I am used to reviewing baby products and Aleena is a willing model for all my baby things.  I have to admit I am a bit camera shy but I let my hubby take a few photos of me with the necklace on today.  I don't get dressed up or wear makeup very often right now since I'm still on maternity leave but it was nice to feel presentable for a few hours.  I also doubled up my efforts by attending the Regina Baby Expo today!  One more thing..I borrowed Lyne's photo of my necklace since it's a much nicer close up than I could come up with.  That's the one I posted above and here are the ones of me from earlier today.
